Dr Chin Yong is a highly experienced Certified Urogynaecologist and Female Pelvic Floor Reconstruction Surgeon based in Melbourne, Australia, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and other female pelvic floor disorders. He offers advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery techniques to provide minimally invasive solutions with faster recovery times.

Dr Yong completed his medical degree at The University of Auckland and specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before undertaking three years of subspecialty training in Urogynaecology at the Royal Women’s Hospital Pelvic Floor Unit in Melbourne. His main consulting rooms are at Epworth Freemasons, East Melbourne, with additional consultations available at Epworth Geelong. He is also part of the Pelvic Pain Service at Frances Perry House.

Current Research

Dr Yong’s main clinical research focus is on the conservative management and surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse. The conservative methods include the use of vaginal pessaries for pelvic organ prolapse. Surgical research includes the development of a new mesh-free surgical correction of pelvic organ prolapse using autologous fascia lata via laparoscopic, robotic and vaginal approach.
